Most everyone knows that I founded this organization with hope, life experience and as a way to honor my dad in #PayItForward through fighting an epic battle to expose a fraud against him as a terminally ill and elderly man. Not only has his home finally sold, the wheels of justice keep turning against the woman who did him so wrong.🙏🏽💜 Please consider leaving us a review to help folks who consider donating or any potential sponsors to see what we are about. Helps greatly from back to school, Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts. Here is the link: https://greatnonprofits.org/org/im-young-and-empowered-inc Reviews do help tremendously as well as photos as we go forward applying for opportunities as a nonprofit organization. The way things are.. you really have to prove what you are about and what you have done to get granted things. Unless you have a pr firm or know influential people... that’s not us. We started as a cause and then became a nonprofit shortly after. My brother gave me the money to pay to file for the nonprofit status. I still have the dirty envelope he gave me the cash in as a regular guy who works construction. It takes time to get recognized by the higher ups or to be eligible for grants to be able to provide more. Being that we are so young as an organization and just filed taxes for the first time. Working hard behind the scenes to be able to do more on the social services side of things and in a modern way that doesn’t have the window shut in your face after waiting for hours. We are not given big money like the larger organizations.. yet. Please know that things are in the works to be able to do more. The goal is to empower you and your children. COVID or not.. to have a little bit easier time in achieving your goals, dreams and plans. Thank you for sticking with us and being about it in taking an unified approach to realize we are all on the same team.
